I don't understand why you say in the description that you "lucked out" with the weather then you go on to say how great it was? Surely "lucked out" is a bad thing? Certainly sounds like it!

Hi, love the video (and soundtrack) I have just bought myself a Hunter Europa 19, I wanted to ask, what size outboard do you have and was it adequate? look forward to hearing about more of your adventures and maybe sharing some of my own! lol

Absolutely love it guys, have watched this so many times. As an ancient mariner nearing the end of my sailing time it makes me smile and remember why I always returned to the sea. Thank you for this gift.

In Norway you have to report by radio/ Is it not necessary and can you anchor yourself, make a barbecue, go to the store?

9 years too late but if you're fitting a camera to the Folksong then can you somehow gimbal it? Sailing videos look so much better with the horizon horizontal at all angles.

Amazing video. Just got myself a 22ft sailing dinghy and I'm from Northumberland so want to head up to Shetland then Norway. Wasn't sure it would be possible in such a small boat but then I saw this! What outboard did you have on that boat?

Love this Video, I noticed you reefed the main by rolling it around the boom. How did you do this and still maintain a reasonable shape in your sail??

Great! But my memories of Shetland? Natural sounds of sea and wind. Loud music drowned out the natural sounds.

How good has this fella got it, he's all snug in the cabin whilst his missus is out in the spray and cold on the tiller AND knocking up some bacon sangers, then passing him some while he's still warm and dry in the cabin. I might have to trade my missus in for one of those models

I now have Hunrer Hirizo 23 sails well with a bit more sails well as it twin keels rather bilge keels.

I had a Europa although small a proper boat with hefty fin keel..
